Join us for a pickleball getaway on Florida’s Gulf Coast this coming fall. Relax and restore among the pristine sugar-white beaches of Carabelle, get to know other pickleball players of all levels, and improve your game with small-group clinics taught by pro-level coaches. This retreat and clinic is open to pickleball player levels 3.0 and up.

St. James Bay Resort

St. James Bay Golf & Pickleball Resort offers a unique Florida getaway where guests can enjoy golf, pickleball, pool and club access, and the natural beauty of old Florida alongside charming accommodations and dining. Located in Carrabelle, the resort provides access to pristine beaches, boating adventures, and world-class fishing, making it an ideal destination for outdoor enthusiasts.

Retreat Details

    • Six nights (TBC) lodging at St. James Bay Resort (see lodging option details below)

    • Four days of pickleball coaching (3 hours per day) with top pros, including head pro Mark Price; coaching ratio 1-8

    • Welcome dinner on May 17

    • Mid-week cookout with two alcohol drinks

    • $1100/person - Spouse or friend in a shared room without coaching (includes all amenities except pickleball)

  • Guests may choose from three different lodging options, outlined below.

    CONDOS: Spacious residential-style homes featuring 2-3 bedrooms with private bathrooms, fully equipped kitchens, dedicated dining and living areas, oversized bathrooms, and in-suite laundry.

    VILLAS: Villas offer a private room for up to 2 guests, featuring a kitchenette, queen bed, full private bath, and easy access to the nearby clubhouse and gulf range.

    VILLAS + FULL KITCHEN: Includes all the same amenities as the standard villa, but with a full working kitchen.

    4. Explore Tate’s Hell State Forest – Hike, paddle, or spot wildlife in this vast natural area.

    5. Visit the Crooked River Lighthouse – Climb to the top for stunning coastal views.

    6. Fishing & Boating – Charter a fishing trip or rent a boat to explore the Gulf waters.

    7. Apalachicola Day Trip – Stroll historic streets, visit local shops, and enjoy fresh seafood.

  • In the event a participant cancels his/her registration for any reason, the refunds are as follows:

    • 60+ days notice: Credit towards future clinic

    • 30+ days notice: 25% refund

    • 0-30 days notice: 0% refund

St. James Bay Resort offers three different lodging options. Package pricing listed below includes not only lodging, but also pickleball coaching, additional amenities, taxes, and resort fees.

Villa

Villas offer a private room for up to 2 guests, featuring a kitchenette, queen bed, sleeper sofa, full private bath, and easy access to the nearby clubhouse and gulf range.

Meet Your Instructors

Enjoy expert-level pickleball coaching with our experienced and passionate instructors.

  • Mark Price is a PPR-Certified professional pickleball coach and 3-year Georgia State Pickleball Champion. His teaching philosophy is centered around the 3 “C’s”: consistency, connection, and control. Since he started teaching in 2019, he’s helped hundreds of players of all levels fine-tune and improve their pickleball game.


  • Born in Puerto RIco, Lionel Ortiz Fuentes has been teaching pickleball for the last 2 years, at the Atlanta Pickleball Center, with over 1000 private lesson hours as a Pro Certified Pickleball Coach. As a doctor in Chiropractic, his teaching philosophy encompasses making small adjustments to your life both inside and outside the court.


  • Cindy started playing pickleball in 2018 and has been hooked since the first 0-0-2. She is a retired educator with 30 years of service as a Health and PE Teacher of the Visually Impaired. With a passion for all things wellness, she enjoys being a part of the development of skills of students of all ages and levels. Her greatest joy as a coach comes when students share accomplishments after implementing a lesson tip into their game.
